An airstrike was carried out on the evening of December 17 on Sittaung Village, located beside the Kalay–Kyin Hseik road in the eastern part of Wetlet Township, Sagaing Region. Four people, including an elderly couple, were killed, and at least five others were injured.

According to local reports, around 8:30 p.m., two bombs were dropped from the air on Sittaung Village, which lies on the western side of the Sagaing–Kyaung Myoung road. The bombs exploded within the compound of a house, instantly killing 70-year-old U Nyunt Win, his wife Daw Myint Kyi, 25-year-old Ko Zeyar Tun, and a middle-aged woman.
