RPG event in Syrian Arab Republic on Fri 26th December 2025

A video, documented with photographic evidence, proves that the attack was launched by factions affiliated with the Damascus government against an Internal Security Forces checkpoint near the Sheikh Maqsoud roundabout in Aleppo, using RPGs. This definitively refutes claims that attempted to blame our forces for initiating the escalation. This documented footage confirms that the Damascus government and its factions disregard stability and civilian lives, instead pursuing a policy of fabricating crises and creating tension, in blatant disregard for all international efforts aimed at de-escalation. These factions launched a direct attack on an Internal Security Forces checkpoint, followed by shelling of safe residential neighborhoods with artillery and heavy machine guns, in a blatant attempt to draw our forces into an escalation, heedless of the dangers this behavior poses to civilians or its humanitarian and legal repercussions. We present these facts to the public, international powers, and organizations.
