Surveillance operations conducted Saturday morning in Frontera resulted in the arrest of a 17-year-old boy found in possession of a knife while walking through the streets of the Diana Laura neighborhood.

Around 9:15 a.m., officers patrolling Federal Highway 30, near the Diana Laura neighborhood, received a report of a young man exhibiting aggressive behavior.

Upon arriving at the location, the officers found Cristofer "N" and confirmed he was carrying the bladed weapon. After a pat-down search, they seized the weapon and took him to the Public Security facilities.

According to official information, the minor—in the Sierrita neighborhood—was turned over to the Specialized Prosecutor's Office for Minors, charged with carrying a bladed weapon, making threats, and any other charges that may arise as the investigation progresses.

Furthermore, it was revealed that agents from the Criminal Investigation Agency will review his possible connection to several robberies committed in the municipality, so his legal situation could change as the corresponding case files are compiled.

Case under the legal framework for minors

Authorities indicated that, since he is a minor, the process will be carried out in accordance with the applicable provisions for minors, guaranteeing his rights, but without ruling out his possible involvement in other criminal acts.

The young man was placed in the custody of the Prosecutor's Office, where his legal status will be determined in the coming hours.
