On 20 November 2025, armed individuals suspected of being Murle community members from the Greater Pibor Administrative Area (GPAA) shot and killed a local civilian (likely a member of the Bor Dinka community, based on location), travelling between Kolnyang village and Malual-Aguarbaar, within Kolnyang Payam (Bor South County, Jonglei State). Local youth pursued the attackers (no further information). Motivation unknown.
