On 20 November 2025, in Mossoro (Rio Grande do Norte), military police officers exchanged fire with an unidentified armed suspect. The officers approached the suspect, who was carelessly driving a motorcycle. He resisted, tried to escape and fired against the officers. An armed clash took place and an office was shot and injured. The suspect was arrested. He was a suspect of killing a man whose body was found on the previous day (coded separately). There were no fatalities.
