On 20 November 2025, security forces (coded as the army) clashed with an Iraqi army major at his house in Abu Ghraib district (coded as Abu Ghraib city, Baghdad), following intelligence reports indicating that the major possessed hand grenades, large quantities Crystal meth and narcotic pills. Security forces attempted to arrest him and he opened fire. In the exchange of fire the major was injured. Security forces seized four gas bottles used for drug inhalation, bags with unspecified narcotics, three drug-use tools with a weighing spoon, 16 Larica pills, three mobile phones and weapons (2 grenades and a Colombian pistol with ammunition) found inside his house. 1 injured. There were no fatalities.
