On 20 November 2025, the Nigerian military attacked and killed several ISWAP fighters along the Banki-Kumshe road, coded to the closest populated area, Kumshe (Bama, Borno). ISWAP members were transporting supplies along the route when the troops ambushed them and opened fire on them. Unspecified number of fatalities coded as 3.
