On 19 November 2025, in Maung Ma village (coded as Maung Ma Ywar Thit) (Kawkareik township, Kawkareik district, Kayin state), a combined force of the Karen National Liberation Army (KNU/KNLA) and allied forces intercepted a Myanmar military column advancing towards the southern Kawkareik township. Several military troops, including a battalion commander, were killed, while 2 members of the combined force were killed. The military column was forced to retreat. Fatalities coded as 5 (unspecified number of military fatailites and 2 combined forces).
