Around 19 November 2025 (between 18 - 21 November), the Taliban raided the home of a former police chief in Urozgan province (coded to Tirinkot) and opened fire on women and children while searching for weapons and money. They also detained the chief's sons and imprisoned them, with no information available about their condition. The police chief was killed in a Taliban suicide bombing in 2015.
