On 19 November 2025, individuals suspected of being Ngok Dinka community members attacked a commercial boat travelling from Malakal toward Gel Achiel in the Adong area (Baliet, Upper Nile), resulting in 6 fatalities. The incident was suspected to be revenge for a previous ethnically motivated incident (no further information).
