On 19 November 2025, individuals suspected to be from the Greater Pibor Administrative Area (GPAA) (likely members of the Murle community, who are predominant in the area) attacked 3 women collecting charcoal at the Baai Liir cattle camp near Tibek (location coded to Bor, the Bor South County headquarters in Jonglei State). 1 woman was killed, another was injured, while the third escaped. GPAA authorities denied knowledge of the incident. The victims are likely members of the Bor Dinka community, who are predominant in the area.
