On 19 November 2025, in Brasileia (Acre), two suspected drug traffickers intercepted a ride-hailing car and injured the passenger in the Marcos Galvao area, firing multiple shots at him before fleeing. Police suspected that the attack was an ambush linked to drug trafficking group disputes. The victim sought medical care, where officers discovered that he was wanted for removing an electronic ankle monitor. There were no fatalities.
