Projectile event in Roraima, Alto Alegre area, Brazil on Wed 19th November 2025

On 19 November 2025, near Alto Alegre (Roraima), the Brazilian Air Force shot at a suspicious plane coming from Venezuela that entered the Brazilian aerial space without permission. The plane was flying over the Yanomami reserve without a flying plan or contact with aerial control services. This led authorities to suspect that the plane was doing drug trafficking. The officers attempted to apply the verification measures the law dictates, but the pilot disobeyed. The officers then ordered the pilot to modify his route and stop at a specific spot. The pilot disobeyed again, so the officers shot at it as a warning. The plane landed in a landing strip near Surucucu, Alto Alegre. The pilot escaped before the officers arrived. The load of the plane in unknown. There were no casualties.
