On 19 November 2025, in Vereda Ventanas (Antioquia), a high-power IED was detonated on the Medellin - Costa Atlantica highway, completely destroying a section of the road. There were no vehicles passing at the time of the explosion. The identity of the perpetrators is unknown, but it is suspected that 36th Front FARC dissidents carried out the attack in retaliation for the arrest of a lead sapper of the group. In any case, there is presence in the area of the ELN, Gulf Clan, and multiple FARC dissident fronts. There were no casualties.
