Around 18 November 2025 (as reported), in Waingmaw township (Myitkyina district, Kachin state), fighting broke out between the Myanmar military and the Kachin Independence Army (KIO/KIA). During the armed clash, the military conducted airstrikes and dropped bombs with a Y-12 plane and a fighter jet and fired heavy weapons. Casualties unknown.
