On 18 November 2025, near Banmauk town (Banmauk township, Katha district, Sagaing region), fighting continued between the combined troops of the Myanmar military and the Shanni Nationalities Army (SNA) and local people's defense forces. During the armed clash, the military and SNA troops conducted airstrikes and drone strikes and dropped bombs and fired heavy weapons. The local people's defense forces retreated from some of their outposts. Some of the buildings in the Border Areas and Ethnic Nationalities Development Training School were damaged. Casualties unknown.
