On 18 November 2025, an informant of the Police Drug Enforcement Group was shot dead by suspected armed drug suspects in front of the victim's house in Pasay City (Metropolitan Manila, National Capital Region). Authorities said the victim provided information to the police that led to the arrest of two drug suspects. Following the arrest, an ally of the two drug suspects confronted the victim and threatened to kill him. Authorities are looking into the possibility that the attack was revenge by the ally's group.
