On 18 November 2025, Russian Forces shelled positions of Ukrainian Forces near Slovyansk, Donetsk. Russian forces launched two KAB-250 guided aerial bombs at Slovyansk, causing damages in the industrial area of the city. According to Russian sources, 195 Ukrainian soldiers, including from marines units (coded to Kostiantynivka), were killed in the area of Kostiantynivka, Dibrova, Mykolaivka, Slovyansk, Druzhkivka, Zakitne, Platonivka and Rai-Oleksandrivka [Russian MoD reported 195 fatalities.
