On 18 November 2025, suspected SPLM/A-IO members shot at the Torit County Commissioner's vehicle along the Magwi-Torit Road at the Torit-Magwi Junction in Torit Payam (Torit County, Eastern Equatoria State), resulting in 1 police officer, a deputy police chief inspector, being killed. A similar ambush occurred in Torit on the same day, targeting an SSPDF post (coded separately).
