On 18 November 2025, in Rio Frio (Antioquia), unidentified armed assailants shot and killed a social leader and member of the local Council of Communal Action (JAC) in his house. The victim, a well-known merchant, was also the brother of an environmental and land rights defender. There is no information on the identity or motives of the perpetrators, but there is presence in the area of members of the Edwin Roman Velasquez Valle substructure of the Gulf Clan. 1 fatality.
