On 18 November 2025, in Arauquita (Arauca), unidentified armed assailants opened fire near a park in the 20 de Julio neighborhood on a military vehicle transporting three soldiers, injuring them. There is no information on the identity of the perpetrators, but there is presence in the area of ELN and FARC dissident groups. There were no fatalities.
