On 18 November 2025, the Nigerian troops clashed with ISWAP/Boko Haram (JAS) while repelling their attack in Monguno (Monguno, Borno). 4 soldiers and 1 forest guard were injured. The attackers retreated, and some escaped with gunshot wounds. The troops recovered one AK-47 rifle, one magazine, 12 rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition, a packet belt with 120 rounds of 7.62x54mm ammunition, a turban, and three pairs of slippers. There were no fatalities.
