On 18 November 2025, a joint security task force made up of the military and VSN shot and killed 1 armed Fulani pastoralist in Jakusko LGA, coded to the LGA HQ, Jakusko (Jakusko, Yobe). The security forces were responding to a distress call about farms being destroyed by armed Fulani pastoralists (coded separately). A pastoralist stabbed and injured 1 VSN member with a machete, and the soldier shot him when he tried to stab the soldier as well.
