SAA event in Olancho, Juticalpa area, Honduras on Tue 18th November 2025

On 18 November 2025, outside Juticalpa, Olancho, four unidentified gang members ambushed a police patrol on the road to San Francisco de Becerra, killing an Inspector. The officer was conducting preventive patrols when the attackers opened fire on the vehicle. Police secured the scene and launched an operation that led to the arrest of four suspected perpetrators in urban and rural areas. The victim, who had recently become a father, was posthumously promoted to Sub-Commissioner and recognized as a Police Hero. The motive is suspected to be linked to gang violence. 1 fatality.
