On 17 November 2025, unknown armed individuals shot and seriously injured a shepherd belonging to Bedouin tribes with three bullets while he was herding livestock in the Al-Musandak area of Ali Al-Gharbi district (Maysan). The victim was hospitalized in critical condition. Investigations were launched to identify the shooters. There were no fatalities.
