On 17 November 2025, clashes between SAF, backed by Sudan Shield Forces and Al Baraa Ibn Malik Brigade, and RSF continued in Um Sayalah (Bara, North Kordofan) with RSF fighter drones and SAF artillery shelling. SAF regained control temporarily, then withdrew from the area. RSF claimed they had killed 470 SAF soldiers (uncorroborated fatalities coded as 10), captured 60 military vehicles, and destroyed 30 vehicles. Sudan Shield Forces commander Kikal was wounded. SAF inflicted losses on RSF's lives and equipment (unspecified fatalities coded as 10). Total fatalities coded as 20 (10 SAF + 10 RSF).
