On 17 November 2025, JNIM claimed to have attacked and taken control of a volunteer fighters (VDP) headquarters in the village of Lahagi (Pibaore, Sanmatenga, Centre-Nord). In a separate statement, JNIM said it killed 2 VDP, and seized 2 AK rifles, 1 G3 rifle, and other equipment. JNIM published photographs of the seizure.
