On 17 November 2025, a Kaduna militia attacked Kushe Gugbu village, coded to its ward, Kushe (Kagarko, Kaduna), killing 1 person and abducting several people, including the parish priest of St. Stephen Parish of the Catholic Church in Kushe. The priest's brother was shot dead during the abduction.
