On 17 November 2025, armed militants (likely JNIM, based on location) attacked Dozo militia members in the village of Tongolo-Coura (Kolongo, Macina, Segou). At least 2 militia members were killed, and the militants seized livestock. Following the attack, a number of inhabitants left the village.
