On 16 November 2025, an Israeli Merkava tank fired heavy machine-gun rounds near UNIFIL peacekeepers in Mazraat Sardah (Al Nabatieh, Al Nabatieh). There were no casualties. The Israeli military later claimed that 'poor weather conditions' caused its soldiers to mistake the peacekeepers for 'suspects.'
