On 16 November 2025, overnight, a Kebbi militia attacked the Maga Government Comprehensive Girl Secondary School in Maga (Danko, Kebbi), killing the school's Vice Principal and a guard, injuring the school's principal, as well as kidnapping around twenty-five female students. The police confirmed the event, also claiming to have shot at the militia without being able to block the abduction of the students as the militia members fled.
