On 16 November 2025, in Salvador - Barra/Pituba (Bahia), military police officers exchanged fire with unidentified armed suspects in the Ondina neighborhood. The officers were taking part in a security operation for the national university entrance exams when two suspects on a motorcycle fired against them. An armed clash took place and a suspect was arrested. The other escaped. Police seized a firearm and ammunition. There were no casualties.
