On 16 November 2025, FARDC and MONUSCO forces repelled an attempted attack by CRP militia near Sanduku (Djugu, Ituri). The militiamen had been conducting reconnaissance near displaced persons sites but were forced to retreat into the forest following the joint intervention. Reinforcements were deployed from the MONUSCO base in Fataki. There were no casualties.
