On May 14, Houthi forces carried out a drone attack on two oil-pumping stations of the East-West Saudi pipeline, going from the eastern Saudi oil fileds to the oil terminal of Yanbu on the western coast, in Al-Dawadimi and Afif areas, with seven explosive-laden drones. No fatalities nor injuries were reported but a large fire allegedly took place at pumping station no.8, prompting a temporary closure of the station. Houthi forces declared that the attack was a response to the Saudi-imposed siege on Yemen. US assessments later claimed that the attack originated from Iraqi territory.
