IS-Mozambique says that the naval patrol of the Mozambican army composed of four boats were heading to the Mionge island while the militants were preaching to locals, the fighters then took their own boats and ambushed the patrol, leading to the withdrawal of the army. Later, two military aircrafts bombed the island, and according to the terrorists no casualties were inflicted in the bombing.
