On December 3,PunjabPolice arrested the fifth accused, Mohan Singh of Ramuwal, Bathinda District of Punjab, in connection with the Gurdaspur City police station grenade attack on November 25, reports The Week. Earlier, four accused – Pradeep Kumar, Gurdit, Naveen Chaudhary, and Kush were arrested. Director General of Police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav said Mohan Singh was in contact with Pakistan-based Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI)-sponsored gangster Shahzad Bhatti and acted under his instructions to carry out the attack to spread terror in Punjab. Following Singh’s arrest, police recovered a .32 bore pistol with live cartridges and impounded a motorcycle used in the crime. The investigation remains active, and further leads are being pursued.
