On December 2,one person, identified as conductor Amandeep Singh, was injured when three unidentified motorcycle-borne assailants opened fire on a Punjab Roadways bus travelling from Ferozepur District of Punjab to Ganganagar in Sri Ganganagar District of Rajasthan, reports The Tribune. The attack occurred near Karian Pehlawan village on the Ferozepur-Fazilka Road in Ferozepur District, where the assailants first fired at the driver’s side and then overtook the vehicle to shoot additional rounds. Around 25–30 passengers were on board. Amandeep sustained pellet injuries to his legs.
