An armed attack during a horse racing event in Parral, Chihuahua, left at least 8 dead and a dozen wounded on Saturday, November 15, in an incident that prompted a joint operation between the three levels of government. The shooting occurred at the Santa Teresa racetrack, while races were taking place. Videos that went viral on social media showed the moment when, just a few meters from one of the competitors, gunshots were heard, causing attendees to run for cover or even hide under cars while the attack was being carried out. According to Quadratín , the victims of the shootout in Chihuahua included innocent civilians as well as members of criminal groups
