Morelia, Michoacán, November 18, 2025.– A 21-year-old woman died after being hit by a stray bullet during the clashes and blockades that occurred yesterday in the municipality of Quiroga, Michoacán. The victim, identified as Rosana Valentina C., was in the area of ​​Francisco Madero and Vasco de Quiroga avenues, near the exit to Santa Fe de la Laguna, when armed civilians began an exchange of gunfire and caused blockades with burning vehicles. During the shooting, Rosana was shot in the pelvis. Municipal paramedics arrived at the scene and transported her to a hospital in Morelia, where she died hours later due to the severity of her injury. On Tuesday morning, residents of Santa Fe de la Laguna staged a road blockade to demand justice in the case, which they consider a reflection of the violence that persists in the region.
