Loud gunshots and explosions were heard near the municipal seat of San Ignacio, Sinaloa, on Wednesday afternoon.

It is still unknown whether it was a clash between armed groups or against the army.

Around 4:00 PM, loud gunshots and explosions began to be heard very close to the municipal capital; this event lasted for at least half an hour.

Some people mentioned that these sounds were heard in the direction of Las Lajas, and very close to the town center, especially in the area where the houses are located next to the river.

Parents of students at the “Bernardo Vega” afternoon shift school, located in the Heraclio Bernal neighborhood, immediately came to pick up their children for fear that they would be hurt.
