A military checkpoint in Nat Ta Lin, which detained people and demanded ransom for their release, was attacked.

The Bago Regional Military Command announced that one soldier was killed when an inspection checkpoint near Shwe Phyu Gone village, Nat Ta Lin Township, was attacked.

According to the military’s statement, revolutionary forces carried out the attack on the checkpoint at Shwe Phyu Gone village this morning, resulting in the deaths of two soldiers.

The announcement added that motorcycles and related equipment from the checkpoint were seized.
