On 28 November 2025, in Kyaung Hpo village (Kyauktaw township, Mrauk-U district, Rakhine state), the Myanmar military conducted drone strikes and dropped 2 bombs near Kan Sauk hill and the former base of No.277 artillery battalion at around 10:45 am. 4 houses were destroyed. Democratic Voice of Burma, Myanmar Now, BBC News, Khit Thit and Shwe Phee Myay News Agency reported that 6 civilians (5 women and a man) were killed and 10 others, including 6 children, were injured. Narinjara News reported that 7 civilians (a 42-year-old man, a 53-year-old man, a 54-year-old woman, a 68-year-old woman, a 37-year-old woman, a 22-year-old woman and a 5-year-old girl) were killed and ten others were injured. Mizzima reported that 7 civilians were killed, and 14 others were injured. Fatalities coded as 6, using the lowest estimates.
