Grenade event in Mexico on Mon 17th November 2025

Security forces conducted a nighttime operation in Jalpa, Zacatecas, seizing weapons, drugs, and cash after identifying suspicious activity in the area. The Mexican Army, the National Guard, the Zacatecas Immediate Reaction Force, and the Zacatecas State Attorney General's Office (FGJEZ) Investigative Police participated. The operation resulted in the arrest of five men from Jalisco, Nayarit, Chiapas, the State of Mexico, and Zacatecas. — Details of the seized items: – 3 vehicles – 6 firearms and 6 grenades – 52 long gun magazines, 3 handgun magazines – 1,682 rounds of ammunition – 4 bulletproof vests and 5 armored personnel carriers – 12 communication devices – Substances: marijuana, crystal meth, and cocaine – 636,700 pesos in cash. The coordination among authorities resulted in a significant seizure that strengthens public safety.
