Elements of the Sinaloa State Public Security Secretariat, through the State Preventive Police, were patrolling the La Conquista subdivision, located north of the city, when they spotted a Nissan Tsuru whose driver attempted to evade authorities by performing escape maneuvers that culminated in a collision with another vehicle.

Following the incident, officers seized a 5.56 x 45 mm caliber machine gun, along with a belt containing 100 rounds of ammunition, as well as the vehicle involved. The driver was turned over to the Federal Public Prosecutor's Office to begin the corresponding investigations.

Authorities emphasized that these types of actions strengthen coordination between the Mexican Army, National Guard, Navy, SSPC (Secretariat of Public Security and Citizen Protection), the Attorney General's Office of the Republic, and the State Attorney General's Office, consolidating strategies to guarantee security in Sinaloa.
