A construction worker who came every day to buy coffee and bread was shot and killed by two men on a motorcycle.
The victim, approximately 35 to 40 years old, was intercepted meters before reaching the food stand.
The murder occurred around 6:00 a.m. in a park located at the intersection of Hospital Avenue and Eleuterio González Street, in the Valle de San Blas neighborhood of García.
The man was wearing blue jeans with green reflective strips and a blue t-shirt.
A light brown backpack was found near the body. He was wearing work boots, and forensic experts located several shell casings at the scene.
It was reported that the victim was on his way to work at a company near the neighborhood, and according to some vendors, he would stop by to buy coffee and bread.
The murder occurred in front of four food stalls, a shopping center, a pharmacy, a tortilla shop, and a candy store.
The area was cordoned off by municipal police, as well as personnel from the army and the national guard.
Agents from the Attorney General's homicide unit were seeking to obtain information from security cameras.
