The governor of Michoacán, Alfredo Ramírez Bedolla, revealed that two accomplices in the murder of Uruapan Mayor Carlos Manzo Rodríguez were killed and their bodies found last Monday on the Uruapan-Paracho highway, near the community of Capácuaro.

The governor reported that one of the newly identified victims was a 16-year-old, further suggesting the involvement of minors in the assassination.

Ramírez Bedolla confirmed the report from the Michoacán State Attorney General's Office (FGE) regarding the discovery of the two bodies. It was detailed that these individuals had accompanied Miguel Ángel Ubaldo Vidales, the 17-year-old identified as the perpetrator of the crime, who was killed by one of the mayor's bodyguards on the same day as the murder.
