Gunmen claiming to be Special Forces members became emboldened in Reynosa, Tamaulipas, and decided to attack members of the State Guard and State Police. They were killed.

The incident occurred on a dirt road in Reynosa, when State Police officers, while on patrol, encountered a pickup truck occupied by armed men. The men decided it was a good idea to attack the security forces.

However, the officers repelled the attack, caught up with the gunmen as they fled, and killed them. In total, five gunmen were killed: four men and a woman known as "La Chuky."

A pickup truck reported stolen abroad

A bucket containing 40 metal tire spikes

Four tactical vests

Four radio communication devices

39 magazines

Six rifles
