Grenade event in Gyobingauk area, Myanmar on Sun 23rd November 2025

The checkpoint near Gyobingauk Hospital was attacked, killing five police officers and soldiers.

In Pegu Region, Gyobingauk Township, the military attacked the checkpoint at the township hospital near the Thaekone Laykyi village and seized weapons, the Thanawaddy District Unit 3802, Sub-unit 4, Underground Tiger Unit - Ootpo announced tonight.

The attack happened around 8:30 AM on November 23 as told in the statement by the Underground Tiger Unit - Ootpo.

A responsible officer of the Underground Tiger Unit - Ootpo said, "The gate was closed. There was no advancing military column."

On the military side, Deputy Police Chief Kyaw Zin Htun and four soldiers were confirmed dead, and two others seriously injured.

In the battle, the military lost one MA13 rifle, one G3 rifle, one G4 rifle, forty G3 rounds, twenty Ma13 rounds, three magazines, three hand grenades, and one grenade launcher, all of which were seized.

The revolutionary forces lost one fighter, according to the Underground Tiger Unit - Ootpo.

About the gate, the responsible officer said, "If there are two jerry cans of fuel, we take one. We ask for money from motorbikes. We seize rice sacks and medicines."

This attack was carried out by Thanawaddy District Unit 3802, Sub-unit 4, Underground Tiger Unit - Ootpo.
