Violence reached the Tres Ríos Urban Development area in Culiacán, Sinaloa, where two young men were executed with bursts of gunfire from high-powered weapons on the afternoon of Sunday, November 16. One of the deceased was identified as Gerardo, alias “El Jerry,” a well-known influencer, content creator, and local businessman.

The victims were intercepted a mere 250 meters from the facilities of the State Attorney General's Office (FGE) and in front of a shopping plaza, a fact that underscores the audacity of the hitmen.

Authorities report that the victims were Gerardo (25), “El Jerry,” and Gustavo (26), both residents of the Valle Alto subdivision. Around 5:00 p.m., while driving a late-model gray Sierra Denali pickup truck, they were intercepted by an armed group on the southbound lane of Enrique Sánchez Alonso Boulevard, near the intersection with José Ortiz de Domínguez Avenue.

The pickup truck sustained multiple bullet impacts to its body, windows, and tires. Residents of nearby neighborhoods alerted 911 about the loud gunshots.
