A joint operation in the Valle Alto sector of Culiacán, Sinaloa, resulted in the arrest of four hitmen, one of them a minor, and the seizure of a high-powered arsenal, including a machine gun.

The arrest was carried out by members of the Sinaloa Special Operations Group (GOES) of the State Preventive Police, in coordination with personnel from the Mexican Army, during a security patrol in the residential area.

GOES officers observed a Volkswagen Golf without license plates. Next to the vehicle, a gunman was openly carrying a long gun. Upon noticing the authorities, the gunman and another individual who got out of the car attempted to enter a building to evade the police.

The state police also observed two other individuals inside the vehicle, carrying long guns and tactical gear.

The rapid deployment allowed for the arrest of the four individuals, whose identities have not been released, except that one is a minor.

The seized arsenal:

One M-240 machine gun, 7.62×51 mm caliber
One AK-47 rifle, 7.62×39 mm caliber (Cuerno de Chivo)
One Rack 47 rifle, 7.62×39 mm caliber
Two M4 rifles, 5.56×45 mm caliber
30 magazines of various calibers, including one drum magazine
One belt with 104 rounds of 7.62×51 mm caliber ammunition for the machine gun
Four tactical vests with ballistic plates and three helmets

One Volkswagen Golf vehicle
The four hitmen, along with the vehicle and all the weapons, were turned over to the Federal Public Prosecutor's Office (FGR) for further investigation.
